We met up with friends and family members on Thanksgiving weekend, and had a blast! The band was awesome and made the night- Patrick Bale and the Pale Ales- hope to see them play again soon! The atmosphere is so unique, with character and charm, also artsy and styled- fun for all ages. We didn’t eat but drinks (and shots!) were flowing. We’ll be back for sure.
Fried Bologna Sandwich was delicious. The spicy mustard addition was a game changer. The play list was spot on. Great mix of old and new country. Loved being greeted by Dolly and Willie. Red Solo Cups were fun. Service was quick and good. Beer and signature cocktails kept our group happy.
Some of the best bar food in the city (the burger, the bologna sandwich and the charred hot dog are particularly great), fantastic live music, and wonderful staff. Carol's 2.0 is cleaner than the original but kept the soul. One of my favorite spots in the city
Great place to visit. Environment, beers, food, service, live bands gave a very good experience. I will keep visiting
Really great neighborhood bar with dirt cheap prices. The live music is a standout and i hear the burgers are great but will wait to review that. Good vibe spot..lots of tvs to watch the game
Overall, just a great neighborhood staple with weekly themed nights. I’ve only gone for Wednesday night trivia, which is free to join and always a good time.
I’ve only had their cheese curds and something else (that’s wasn’t super memorable). The cheese curds were great here!
This is a GREAT place to see live bands. The sound is awesome, and the atmosphere is great. Service and food great. It's a good place to get together with friends and see a show or just have dinner and a drink.
Wasnt really impressed. Paid a $5 cover just to enter, was told to sit myself anywhere, and then waited for service.
And waited. And waited.
Apparently there is no service to the back tables. Neither did anyone care to come back to acknowledge us or explain we had to order at the bar.
Very unhelpfully I was told that a server was available on the other side of the bar. When I asked if it looked like there were tables available the bartender rudely and sarcastically answered "I don't know."
After I ordered and picked up my food I was treated with a "chicken" sandwich with about an ounce of chicken. It was really just bread with a hint of chicken. A very disappointing waste of $8.
The best things were the hushpuppies and Moscow mule, which were delicious.
Regardless, we left before the music started but not before I verified that they indeed have a waitress that only serves one side. Similarly, I will now be staying on the outside of Carol's Pub forever.
